Sherry first discovered the Ogden Valley during a ski trip to Powder Mountain in the 1990s. She fell in love with the quiet, adventurous vibe of the area, and would take frequent weekend trips from her home in the Sugarhouse neighborhood of Salt Lake City, often thinking ahead to a time when she would be able to just stay. In 2003, she made that dream a reality and committed to a move to the Ogden Valley, where she has since raised two sons.
After earning her bachelors from BYU, Sherry spent a year teaching at the American School in Barcelona. While in Spain, she learned to speak Spanish and discovered her love for working with children. Upon returning home, she earned a masters in educational pyschology from the University of Utah, and for ten years worked at Backman Elementary in the Salt Lake School District. She continued to work part time in education for the Weber School District after relocating to the Ogden Valley, but now focuses entirely on real estate. Sherry often leans on her experience as a counselor to connect with clients and help them decide how to best fulfill their needs.
One thing that hasn’t diminished in Sherry’s two decades in real estate is her love for the outdoors. In the winter, she can often be found Alpine skiing at Powder Mountain or Snowbasin, or cross-country skiing at North Fork Park. Summer days are frequently spent paddleboarding on Pineview or Causey Reservoirs, or hiking on the myriad trails surrounding the valley. She loves the Ogden Valley for the easy access to the outdoors, and its strong sense of community.
